Privacy policy

• Orders: your name, phone number, delivery address, optional email and any notes you add, plus what you ordered.
• Account: your name, email and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash, never in plain text. Optionally a phone number and saved addresses.
• Messages: what you send through our contact form.
• Technical data: your IP address, used to keep the site safe (for example to limit repeated attempts), and a sign-in cookie if you have an account.

We don't collect card or bank details, because we only accept cash on delivery.

• To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds.
• To run your account and send the emails you need: verification and reset codes, and order updates.
• To answer your messages and to protect the site from fraud and abuse.

We don't sell your personal data and we don't send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Only the service providers we need to run the store, who process data on our behalf:

• Our hosting and database providers, to run the website and store your data.
• Our email provider, to send you codes and order updates.
• Delivery staff, who get your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

We use a sign-in cookie if you have an account. Your shopping cart is kept in your own browser's storage and is cleared when you sign out. We don't use advertising cookies.

We keep order records for as long as needed for delivery, returns, accounting and legal requirements. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it.

You can view and update your name, phone number, email and addresses in your account. You can ask us to correct or delete your data, or to close your account, by emailing everester.footwear@gmail.com. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires it.

We protect your data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords and access controls, and we limit repeated sign-in attempts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
